. I was afraid to do too much while walking across this tiny boardwalk that I didn't catch the message until I looked back at my photos....... "Dreams do come true" Crossing this boardwalk wasn't a literal dream but a great reminder and act of courage. (It's funny how messages present themselves to me.) . Anyway, when we arrived at this site the first thing I noticed was how long the boardwalk was. The second concern I had was the width of this thing. And the third thing I thought about was the lack of rails. Yes, I was nervous. Yes, there were other people on the path. Yes, I was concerned about someone falling off. Yes, we made it to the beach and back. (It was too cold for me to realize if I was sweating or not.) I crossed one way walking with a toddler and headed back carrying the other toddler. It was a great experience with amazing views and also something I could have said no to. . Afterwards I thought to myself, this is how you lead by example. This is how you be the person you want your children to be by actions and words.

Here we are at the top of a long dilapidated staircase. In the middle stands fear, to my left stands bravery and to my right stands courage. Which shoes do you want to stand in? Because one always wins. (My kids are constant teachers)

Whether that is surrounding yourself with trees, mountains, and bodies of water or understanding your combination of qualities and temperament...they all teach us something. . I personally have been spending time with both. I've also been letting nature teach me things about my kids. . #MommyMonday
